We have begun Operation "CHILDREN'S HOPE" for this holiday season. A needy family in the Hoffman area has been selected to receive gifts from us at Christmas. We are working to gather sizes of all the family members and as soon as the information is available it will be posted to help us get usable items to supply their needs for the holidays.
This is our third year of providing Christmas for a needy family in our community. Each year a family is chosen that is in need of help to give their children food and gifts during Christmas. Donations can be made at either convenience store in Hoffman. There are donation jars and a donation box for items needed. You can also make donations by clicking on the "DONATE" button on the right of this page.

10/06/2012 - SOUTHERN MISSION FUN FAIR. We had our first annual carnival fair in Hoffman and it was a huge success. The event was held to raise funds to make repairs to our future Senior Center. We raised enough funds to have the electrical repairs done. Thank you all for supporting our event and our Senior Center.
04/20/2012 - WELLS FARGO DONATES PROPERTY TO SMM. We received a donation of 1 acre of land and a manufactured home in which we plan to locate our new Senior Center. Thank you Wells Fargo for helping our community!
3/14/2012 - OUR SCHEDULE HAS CHANGED. WE WILL NO LONGER BE OPEN ON
WEDNESDAYS. Our NEW day will be on SATURDAY from 2 PM - 4 PM each week.
If you already have an appointment set for a Wednesday, please come on the
following Saturday at 2 pm so we can put you on our Saturday schedule. All future
appointments will be on Saturday. We are sorry for any inconvenience and we
look forward to serving our clients on Saturdays.
02/18/2012 - We have lots of clothing, shoes and socks available. Thanks to a
large donation we have a variety of clothing, shoes, socks, children's books,
pocketbooks, etc. All are welcome to come see if you can use any of these items.
02/01/2012 - Funds for Utility and Rent Assistance are exhausted. Funds are
no longer available for assistance with utilities and rent. Donations and grants
will determine when they will be available again. We will post availability of funds
as soon as possible.
01/31/2012 - Children's Hope Gives Christmas Cheer to a family in need. A local
family in the Hoffman community received assistance for Christmas in order to
provide for the children. A grandmother raising her two grandsons's was exstatic
when she learned she would be getting help from us for Christmas. We bought
presents and provided them with a food basket and goodies to make their
Christmas a very joyful one. Read our article on the home page.
10/7/2011 - Funds are currently available for utility assistance and rent
assistance. Please call to make an appointment so we can help you. Call
1-877-657-2425 for those out of the Hoffman area. Local residents please call
